Happy Easter!

Hope everyone is having an enjoyable Easter :)
Sorry, I should have posted up a recipe prior to Easter but I only made this on a whim on Good Friday, but there’s still time ^^” Raspberry and rose spongecake with cream cheese frosting and raspberries in the middle layer. There’s nothing to it actually; it’s all about the presentation and it’s easy to assemble!

Bunnies in a garden :)
All you need:
- Spongecake (make your own or store bought)
- Ladyfingers for the fence (or substitute using Kit Kats, Pocky etc)
- Frosting (you could easily whip some cream to frost the cake and also acts as a glue for the fence and grass)
- Dessicated coconut with green food colour for the grass (I use pandan essence)
- Ribbon (optional)
- Chocolate bunnies and Easter eggs to decorate

Happy Easter!
Also made some cheesecake Easter eggs (adapted from Raspberri Cupcakes) cheesecake flavoured whipped cream (stumbled across this randomly: whipped cream, Greek yoghurt, icing sugar) and lemon curd yolks.

Picnic basket from Kitchenware Direct
If you’re spending your Valentine’s with someone you love, make this Valentine’s Day special by organising a romantic picnic! Even if you’re single, grab a few friends and throw a fun picnic as well :) Here are some  of Sydney’s best picnic spots: Timeout and Concrete Playground.
For the longest time I have wanted my own picnic basket and I was fortunate enough to have Kitchenware Direct send this 4-person picnic basket to review. You can be sure to see this picnic basket be featured in future posts ^^” I was quite surprised that it was so light to carry and sturdy too considering I packed a lot of food. The bottom compartment was deep and well-insulated with a zip-top to keep it secure. What I loved was that it came with a matching brightly coloured picnic mat that also had a plastic bottom so it could be used on damp grass as well. Whilst this particular picnic basket is no longer available on the site, the Satara Lindeman is a great alternative!

What we packed: Bacon & vegetable quiche (will post up a recipe soon), Cobb salad, Garlic & parmesan bread, Alaskan king crab & creme fraiche pate, Triple creamy brie w/ truffle honey & quince paste, Waterthins, Grissini breadsticks, Champagne, Home-made rhubarb & berry sparkling cordial, Young coconut, and Chocolate strawberries
When preparing the food for the picnic, I got a bit carried away and prepared way too much food for the boy & I ^^” we could have fed 4-5 people easily! Luckily I brought containers along with me to pack up the left-overs.

Christmas brownie trees

Merry Christmas everyone!
christmas brownie trees
I know I’ve been sort of sporadically MIA from my blog lately but this whole month has been a complete whirlwind of events. I really should have posted this ‘recipe’ much earlier but it got swamped in between the numerous Christmas parties (either hosted or attended), work, and a spontaneous trip to Cairns with a group of friends :)

Anyway, believe it or not, this recipe/idea came to me in a dream o_o how bizarre right? I made these for a Christmas party I hosted recently for 20+ friends and packaged them up for guests as take-home gifts. The grown up ‘lolly bag’ haha. I bought the food-safe clear bags from Daiso for $2.80, regular sized candy canes, and cheated by buying Betty Crocker’s rainbow brownie mix (the ones with the mini m&m’s). Turned out surprisingly well!
